Julie HorriganPublicity Embryo Records / Distribution Coordinator MGM (WA) Artists Julie is the driving force behind the publicity of all Embryo artists and has been with the team since mid 2003. Her networks include all national music press, street press, university magazines, webzines, newspapers, major community radio and Triple J. Julie is also a gun for hire and has conducted several national campaigns for artists such as The Panics and Nathan Gaunt. Julie’s background dealing with Artists, Entertainment and Publicity began in her early twenties while managing several small Western Australian Hotels. In 2002, a move to the city and her love of music lead to a position at Perths premier original music venue of the time – The Grosvenor Hotel. The indie scene was booming and it was from here that she became familiar with the local and national bands playing the live circuit and chose to pursue her interest in music and songwriting further by working undercover in the industry. Julie is also responsible for coordinating all releases distributed from WA through MGM distribution. |
